MoveDefense FAQ

Questions people ask about MoveDefense

MoveDefense is a dispute proof and trip log app for gig drivers and working drivers who need to keep mileage, gas, delivery stops, grocery orders, receipts, photos, account-review notes, and PDF records in one place. These answers use the same words drivers search for: disputes, account bans, deactivation appeals, gas, miles, trips, stops, Spark, DoorDash, Instacart, groceries, and receipts.

What is MoveDefense?

MoveDefense is a driver trip log and dispute proof app for recording stops, pickup and drop-off times, addresses, notes, mileage, odometer readings, gas records, receipt photos, delivery photos, inspections, account-review notes, and PDF-ready records.

Can MoveDefense help with delivery disputes?

Yes. MoveDefense can help drivers build a dispute packet with stop logs, times, addresses, mileage, gas receipts, delivery photos, issue notes, and PDF exports. Drivers can use that packet when answering a missing-order claim, wrong-drop complaint, late-arrival question, reimbursement issue, or support ticket.

Can MoveDefense help with account bans or deactivation appeals?

MoveDefense can help drivers keep proof for account reviews, temporary holds, ban-risk claims, and deactivation appeals. It cannot guarantee that DoorDash, Walmart Spark, Instacart, Uber Eats, or another platform will reverse a decision, but it can help the driver answer with a clearer timeline, photos, receipts, mileage, and notes.

Is MoveDefense still a driver log?

Yes. The driver log is the foundation. The difference is the purpose: stops, miles, gas, receipts, photos, notes, and exports are saved so a driver can protect the account and explain what happened when a dispute or account review appears.

What does "move" mean in MoveDefense?

In MoveDefense, a move is a driver's real work movement: a trip, pickup, drop-off, gas stop, grocery stop, customer stop, mileage leg, or delivery run. MoveDefense helps drivers defend the record of those moves with times, miles, receipts, photos, notes, and PDFs. Read what a move means in MoveDefense.

Is MoveDefense for gig drivers?

Yes. MoveDefense is built for gig drivers, delivery drivers, grocery delivery drivers, owner-operators, mobile service workers, and small businesses that need a clean record of trips, stops, miles, gas, receipts, and proof of work.

Can I use MoveDefense for Walmart Spark, DoorDash, Instacart, Uber Eats, or grocery delivery?

Yes, you can use MoveDefense to keep your own trip records while driving for apps such as Walmart Spark, DoorDash, Instacart, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Shipt, Amazon Flex, and grocery delivery work. MoveDefense is not affiliated with those companies and does not connect to their driver apps; it is a separate log for your miles, gas, stops, receipts, and delivery notes.

Does MoveDefense connect to DoorDash, Spark, or Instacart?

No. MoveDefense does not import orders from DoorDash, Walmart Spark, Instacart, Uber Eats, or any other gig app. Drivers use MoveDefense as their own independent trip log when they want a private record outside the delivery app.

Is MoveDefense connected to military DPS, DoD moving, or PCS shipments?

No. MoveDefense is not affiliated with military DPS, DoD household goods moving, PCS shipment systems, or government relocation services. MoveDefense is driver log software for trips, miles, gas receipts, delivery stops, photos, inspections, and PDF exports.

What can I save for each delivery stop?

A stop can include arrival time, departure time, store or customer address, pickup or drop-off notes, delivery photos, receipt photos, issue notes, and odometer context. The point is to keep the trip details together instead of scattered across the delivery app, camera roll, screenshots, texts, and paper receipts.

Can MoveDefense track mileage for gig work?

Yes. MoveDefense supports mileage records through odometer entries, trip miles, and saved stops. When odometer readings are available, they are the clearest source for mileage. Saved stop locations and trip legs can also help support a daily mileage record.

Can MoveDefense save gas receipts?

Yes. MoveDefense can record gas or fuel purchases with gallons, cost, tank gauge, payment type, odometer context, gas station details, and receipt photos. Gas records can stay with the same workday as the stops and mileage record.

What is a MoveDefense trip log PDF?

A MoveDefense trip log PDF is a clean export of the driving day: stops, miles, gas, notes, photos, receipts, and supporting records. Drivers can use PDFs for customer records, reimbursement support, tax preparation support, business files, or personal documentation. See a filled sample dispute packet to see the format.

Can MoveDefense help with 1099 delivery records?

MoveDefense can help gig drivers organize 1099-style work records such as trips, mileage, gas, receipts, delivery stops, and photos. It is not tax advice and does not replace a tax professional, but it can make the records easier to review later.

Does MoveDefense work offline?

MoveDefense is designed for drivers who may lose service between stores, restaurants, houses, apartments, rural stops, and parking lots. Drivers can keep logging on the device during a trip, then sync account records when service is available again.

How does MoveDefense sync data?

MoveDefense keeps driver work local-first and can sync saved account records to the server. Account sync helps preserve driver logs across sessions and supports cloud-saved records based on the plan and feature being used.

How long does MoveDefense keep cloud records?

Server-saved day records are not deleted when a free window or a plan ends. What changes by plan is how much history you can open in the app: the free plan shows the active 24-hour window, while paid plans unlock longer server-saved history. If a dispute shows up weeks later, the record of a logged day is still there — upgrading or starting a day pass reopens it, and any record you already exported can be re-exported free. The only thing that removes server-saved records is deleting your account.

Is MoveDefense an ELD or Hours-of-Service compliance system?

No. MoveDefense is not an Electronic Logging Device and is not designed for Hours-of-Service compliance. It is a trip log and driver record tool for stops, mileage, gas, photos, receipts, inspections, and PDF-ready records.

Does MoveDefense sell driver data?

No. MoveDefense does not sell personal data and does not use driver data for third-party advertising. See the Privacy Policy for details about account data, driver records, photos, receipts, diagnostics, service providers, and deletion requests.
